Main activities of the Hospital

  • BASIC INFORMATIONS OF HOSPITAL
  • provision to its clients of basic, specialized and highly specialized care, and even supra-specialized care in some specialties, further preventative and dispensary care – all this care is provided in the outpatient or inpatients sections, and in the complement of the hospital.
  • provision to patients of the necessary medications, therapeutic and orthopaedic aids and other technical health care devices,
  • ensuring the provision of occupational preventative care including the protection of health of employees from occupational disease and other forms of damage to health related to work, and prevention of injuries,
  • organization of the institutional emergency service in the hospital,
  • ensuring the transport of patients and injured individuals, and the transport related to the provision of healthcare inside the hospital area,
  • ensuring the operation of the department of forensic medicine for the needs of state administrative bodies,
  • provision of information necessary for general and healthcare statistics,
  • provision and realization of the sale of special healthcare materials, means of healthcare technique, blood and blood derivatives through the mediation of a storehouse of healthcare material and the department of haematology – transfusion to patients and other healthcare facilities,
  • ensuring the operation of a library and a centre for further medical education,
  • realization of the collection, assortment, haulage, and disposition of healthcare-facility-specific waste for the catchment area
  • participation in the education and training of pupils/students of the High School for Nurses and the Higher Healthcare School, and of undergraduates of the Social Healthcare School, South-Bohemia University in České Budějovice,
  • participation in the preparation and realization of the Regional Emergency Plan,
  • provision of institutional social care to individuals in stipulated cases.
